This traditional and simple Thai dessert is good for everyone especially people who like coconut It is very easy to make.

Ingredients for filling

  • 1/2 cup shredded  coconut
  • 1/2 cup palm sugar
  • 1/2 Tsp. salt

Ingredients for flour
  • 1 cups glutinous-rice flour
  • 1/3 cup pandan juice (Made from pandan leaves and water then blend it in a blender) or you can used warm water

Ingredients for coating
   1/2 cup shredded  coconut
   1/4 Tsp. salt


Cooking Method:
  1. In a hot pan on medium heat, Add  shredded  coconut, palm sugar, salt  then  keep stirring the mixture until the mixture start to be sticky.Turn off the heat,  Let it cool down
  2. Take a little bit of filling  then roll it into a ball ,set aside
  3. In the mixing bowl add shredded  coconut , salt and mix well then put in microwave for 1 min. Set aside (For the coating)
  4. mix glutinous-rice, rice flour with pandan juice mix the mixture untill it becomes  a dough.
  5. Kneed the dough untill the dough is firm.
  6. Take a little of the dough in your hand then used your thumb to flatten the dough.
  7. Add the filling ball into the center of the daugh and cover it then roll it into a ball
  8. Boil water then drop the coconut balls in. When the ball begin to float continue cook for about 2 min.
  9. Remove the coconut balls from the boiling water. Place the coconut balls into coconut coating to coat the balls then serve
